Different territory - different frequencies
All Mobitex networks operate in one of four frequency families: 80 MHz, 400 MHz, 800 MHz, or 900 MHz. Frequencies and channels are generally assigned by a national government authority

Each local operator can tell you the specific channel assignments for its country. The links below will help you get in contact with the public network operators.

The 400 Mhz frequency band
These UHF-based networks use channels that generally fall between 415 MHz and 430 MHz.

The 80 and 160MHz frequency bands
Mobitex originally operated at very low frequencies. Two of the original networks, owned by » Multicom Security in Sweden and by » Sonera in Finland, still operate in these bands - Sweden at 80 MHz and Finland at 160 MHz .
